An interpretive plan translates an exhibition's Big Idea into an engaging and relevant experience for visitors. In this process,  thematic threads may inform a linear or map like approach to communicating content. Selections of overall tone, writing genre, flow, lighting, sound, graphic design and interactivity will all support specific take-aways.

An important element in the exhibition is feedback -- qualitative and quantitative data from and about visitors. As such, it is useful to create a digital strategy for every exhibition offering on-site and on-line opportunities for engagement.

In a large museum, a digital strategy is created in collaboration with the marketing and education teams. In a small institution, one must be adept with social media and apps to create relevant and compelling interactions with visitors. We want our visitors to come back and enjoy all their local cultural institutions have to offer!

A simple link or QR code to Jotform is one way to collect qualitative data.
Use a challenging quiz or feedback form.
